A recent report submitted by iGaming Business a publishing company specialising in the online gambling industry, suggested that the results of their recent survey indicated that the online casino industry could potentially see a growth of up to 80 percent by 2014.
The report was conducted and published by the sub group The Global Business of Online Casinos. The report was published with the findings that online casinos will generate $5.8 billion by the end of 2010. Judging by the statistics, the online casino industry as a whole will show growth and be worth $7.1 billion by 2014, a 79 percent increase in the five year period of 2009 to 2014.
The news comes as a welcome relief to all online gambling operators as the recent economic crisis and recession has affected many online web sites, not only entertainment sites, but all sites including poker, sports book, bingo and online casino sites.
