Caribbean Stud poker is a casino game that originated on U.S. cruise ships in the Caribbean. It is the most played poker game in the world next to Texas Hold’em and is now played in casinos all around the world. After placing a forced bet (the ‘ante’) the dealer hands out five cards face down to each player. The dealer deals himself four cards face down and one card face up. The players now look at their cards and decide whether to play or to fold their hand (and thus losing their ante). If the player chose to play, the dealer looks at his cards. If the dealer does not have Ace-King or better, the player gets 1 on 1 on his ante bet. If the dealer has an Ace-King or better than the cards are compared with cards of the player. If a player has a better hand the dealer’s, he is paid out according to a payout table and will also get 1 on 1 on his ante bet.
